Prosperity and Productivity
Several indicators of individual prosperity and the change in prosperity over time, such as per capita personal income and average wage, are included in this section. Individual prosperity, sometimes referred to as economic well-being, is the ultimate goal to which communities strive.
In addition, a couple of proxies for productivity are included, since high and rising productivity leads to high and rising prosperity. True measures of productivity are not available by state or county.
