State and County Summaries
The state and county summaries are from the October 2007 report "County Indicators for Arizona" produced for the Arizona Department of Commerce by the L. William Seidman Research Institute, W. P. Carey School of Business, Arizona State University. The purpose of the County Indicators study was to create a broad set of indicators intended to supplement the state and county economic base studies produced in late 2006. Ideally, the Department of Commerce and ASU also would like to produce indicators at a community level, in part to complement the community economic base studies produced in 2007. However, little consistent community-level data currently are available.
The state and county summaries include a table of numerous demographic, economic, and socioeconomic indicators. The latest data value and the source of each indicator is included. The summaries also include a narrative overview.
