AIMS Scores

Arizona’s Instrument to Measure Standards (AIMS) is a criterion-referenced test that measures whether or not a student is meeting the academic standards developed by the state of Arizona. Three core subject areas are assessed: mathematics, reading, and writing. There are four possible performance levels for the AIMS:

  • Falls Far Below the Standards (FFB)
  • Approaches the Standards (A)
  • Meets the Standards (M)
  • Exceeds the Standards (E)
