Academic Progress

In order to demonstrate Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP), a high school district in Arizona must:

  1. Administer the AIMS test to 95 percent of its students, including all applicable subpopulations
  2. Increase the percentage of students who meet or exceed state standards on the AIMS test from the previous year
  3. Report a 70.5 percent graduation rate or a 1 percent improvement in graduation rate over the preceding year

In order to demonstrate Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP), a high school district in Arizona must:

  3. Report a 94 percent district-wide attendance rate or a 1 percent improvement in attendance rate over the preceding year
