Physical Infrastructure

Among the more important types of physical infrastructure to innovative businesses and their employees are the transportation system, including roads and airports, and communications. Physical infrastructure is an important factor in economic success and affects productivity. However, few indicators of physical infrastructure are available.

Two measures of physical infrastructure are presented on the Innovation Indicators dashboard: the number of high-speed data lines, and urban congestion (measured in dollars).
