Demographics: Population Basics
Interpreting the Data
Data in the Population Basics tables come from the American Community Survey (ACS) 2006-2010 and require caution for two reasons:
- They are multiyear estimates that show what is happening on average over the full period and should not be used to say what is going on in any particular year.
- Sampling error is very large for most Arizona counties. Read "A Practical Guide to the American Community Survey" for a nontechnical discussion of the accuracy of the ACS.
