Eighth Grade STEM Education


The ACT explore test is supported statewide by NAU Gear Up. Almost 50% of Arizona 8th grade students took the test in 2013. Barely more than 15% of those students taking the test are college ready in the areas of math and science.

The college readiness benchmarks are scores that represent the level of achievement required for students to have a 50% chance of obtaining a B or higher or about a 75% chance of obtaining a C or higher in corresponding credit-bearing first-year college courses.
