Voter Turnout
Arizona’s Secretary of State oversees the state’s elections and is the source of the official “canvass” for each election. Historically, voter turnout has been higher in presidential election years. Voter turnout can also be affected by local races and ballot propositions.

The “voting age population” includes all those over 18. The “voting-eligible population” counts those truly able to register and vote, excluding non-citizens, non-residents, felons (depending on state law), and mentally incapacitated persons.Arizona Secretary of State
